To embrace a simpler, more accessible and more convenient banking experience, DBS aimed to educate traditional bank customers to switch to digital banking using their Digibanking and PayLah! apps – especially during the pandemic.
Through an interactive, informative but lighthearted 40-minute Facebook livestream, hosts Kim Huat and Violet Fenying answered questions, gave away prizes, and demonstrated how the DBS apps could help in customers’ day-to-day lives. Snippets of the livestream were then also posted on various social media platforms to continue educating the public on the apps’ usage.
Reaching over more than 12,000 organic views upon airing, the livestream went on to garner 70,000 more views after it had ended. Further, with over 2,000 comments and 500 Reactions to the session, it was greatly indicative of its engaging nature with viewers.
Leveraging off reach of influencers as well as the functional features of DBS’ apps, the campaign managed to teach viewers about the convenience and benefits of swapping the bank errands for a few simple taps on their mobile devices instead.
