Maybank wanted to raise awareness regarding the Scan & Pay feature on the bank’s eWallet app, MAE. Through a YUM-MAE cashback programme, they aimed to drive participation, encourage new users to switch over or upgrade their eWallets to the MAE app.
We engaged 12 local influencers to create one Instagram Reel each, demonstrating how MAE provides an easy way to satisfy food cravings, as well as enjoy convenient cashback – all at the same time.

With a reach of over 466,000 views – surpassing our reach KPI by an impressive 58% – our average engagement rate of 30.7% exceeded the KPI by 7 times, allowing new audiences to discover the use of the MAE app through a more interactive format.
Through the utilisation of each influencer’s followers, we were able to successfully meet the objectives of Maybank’s campaign by spreading awareness, on top of attracting new users for the MAE app.
